PYROTECHNICS TRAINING

Pyrotechnics are regulated by the Explosives Regulatory Division (ERD)  of Natural Resources Canada.

Hi, I'm Mark Fine. I started working with ERD trainers when the certification programs first began.

In 2014 I became one of the first private sector trainers certified  by ERD.  During the pandemic ERD authorized us to do this course virtually. It's gratifying to know that so many of the folks who have taken our courses have gone on to successful careers in Special Effects.

The "Pyrotechnics Safety and Legal Awareness Course" is the prerequisite for Pyrotechnics Certification in Canada. It allows successful participants to apply for certification as a "Pyrotechnician", the entry level for pyrotechnics certification in Canada.

Our courses are via ZOOM and are accessible from Coast to Coast.

They are a  full day, 10AM to 5PM **Eastern Time** (they originate in Toronto)

Our next Course is scheduled for

SUNDAY MAY 7, 2023

from 10 am to 5:30 pm EDT On Zoom
See Course Overview

The cost is $250.00 + HST ......... $282.50

This Course will be hosted on ZOOM. You will receive Zoom link two days before.

Special Effect Pyrotechnics (Type F.3) are high-hazard pyrotechnics articles designed for use by professionals.

These articles are used in theatrical productions & concerts and on film and TV sets.

After successfully completing the course you will receive an ROT (Record of Training) from us.

You must submit that, along with your personal information and $102.00 to ERD, to be certified.

This process is done completely online. Once you are certified you'll be able to download a PDF of your Pyro card to carry with you. I suggest you get it laminated. Certification is good for five years.
